CODE OF CONDUCT FOR PUPILS

A school is a place of learning, where all pupils must be able to learn. Good learning requires an atmosphere of harmony, industry and trust.
SCHOOL RULES
1. Pupils must co-operate with staff in the process of teaching and learning.
2. Pupils must avoid behaviour, which would bring discredit on them, their family or their school.
3. Punctuality is essential at all times.
4. Pupils moving along the corridors and stairs should walk quietly keep to the left and be no more than two abreast.
5. Pupils may only leave school grounds at lunch times. The Whitehouse Woods and the old Community Centre are off limits.
6. Pupils are allowed to use allocated social areas at intervals and lunch times.
7. School bags may only be left in lockers. The school, however, cannot guarantee security. Valuables (e.g. money) can be left at the School Office for safekeeping.
8. Ball games must be played on the field.
9. Smoking is banned.
10. All pupils must be tidily dressed, preferably in school uniform, and must not wear sporting colours.
11. Any pupil having an accident, feeling ill at school or going out of school for any reason must report to a member of staff or to the office.
12. Pupils must obey the instructions of staff and prefects.
In Class
1. Arrive at class on time properly prepared.
2. Remove all outdoor clothing, sweets and gum.
3. Respect all equipment.
4. Listen to and follow instructions.
5. Be courteous, respect the rights of all pupils and staff.
6. Always try to do your best.
